Guidelines for Required Screenings

Use these Guidelines to ensure the health and safety of your patients
In an effort to maintain a consistent standard of health for our enrollees in the Washington DC community, we require that all Primary Care Providers under our network perform the standard screenings listed on this page. Please follow the below guidelines for all required screenings. If you have any questions please contact one of our representatives at (202) 821-1100 or (855) 872-1852.
Substance Abuse & Mental Health Screenings
During the initial examination, all new patients of any age must be screened for signs of substance abuse and mental health issues. All screenings should be administered routinely throughout the patients continued care with the provider. It is the provider’s responsibility to ensure that only approved screen tools and procedures are used during testing. PCPs must also provide any services needed to the patient and/ or their family in accordance with the results of the substance abuse and mental health screenings.
