Guidelines for Clinical Practice

The guidelines for approving all preventative health and clinical guidelines is developed by the Quality Executive Committee (QEC) using established criteria used by professional organizations nationwide.
Guidelines for Preventative Health
CareFirst CHPDC follows the same adult immunization schedule approved by Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). We have also adopted the Guide to Clinical Preventative Services published by the US Preventative Services Task Force (USPTF).
